1980 Catalina Catalina 30

A well known and stiff boat, there are over 7000 Catalina 30s on the water and there is a strong and helpful owners group than produces a magazine four times a year, The Mainsheet which is full of upgrades and fixes done by other owners. We have also purchased and have on board the full boat specs and the 100+ page manual written by owners over the past thirty years.
We love the boat, purchased her in 1999 and have really enjoyed her, but it is time for us to move to a different boat.
Boat will sleep seven, two in V berth, two in centre cabin using drop down table, one in sea berth and two in aft berth. Custom sheets and comforters for every bed except sea berth. Interior teak was sanded down and is coated with four coats of Epiphanes varnish (2000). New carpet on sole 2005. Sleeping berth cushions new in 2003.
New back stay rigging 1999 and new exhaust 1999. Roller furler, dodger and connecting bimini, custom cockpit bug net (all new 2000), auto pilot, new leak proof windows (installed 2001), two solar fans (installed 1999), rope boom vang, lazy jacks (replaced 2007), suite of four sails; fully battd main, two point reefing system, two working jibs, one 140 Genoa. Original cockpit cushions, new life lines (2004). Two anchors, 24 ft chain and 200 ft anchor rode. Two solar lights. One 5 wt solar panel (new in 2007). Custom teak steps on swim ladder (2000) Impeller replaced 2004 and the boat has two replacement impellers on board.
Three deep cycle marine batteries new in 2005, 700 watt inverter 2005, and 300 watt inverter 2005. Engine overhauled and fuel water separator in 2004. Fuel tank emptied cleaned and inspected 2004.Custom cabinet in galley 2003; two burner propane camp stove top, large propane BBQ/Oven in stern rail. All dishes pots and pans, towels.
One hanging locker and set of drawers. The boat has a large head, Jabsco manual head was replaced in 2000. Four bumpers, all dock and spring lines, lifejackets for adults and kids, swimming noodles, boogey board, four dock chairs. Dock Gear wagon and ladder, new steel six folding arm cradle 2005.
As this boat is 27 years old there are regular maintenance/upgrading issues, with the boat but not yet installed: fairleads, blocks and clutches to lead sheets to cockpit. Also a new whale hand pump, not yet installed. Partially installed a new depth meter, she is currently due to have new fresh water hoses to sinks (from water tank). We are part way thro sanding outside teak to make it ready to go to an oil or cetol finish
